The Tractel Derope is an Emergency Evacuation and Rescue Device designed to automatically control the rate of descent for application within industrial environments. The system consists of a centrifugal brake mechanism to which the traveling rope is attached, encased in a lightweight alloy body.

The Derope can be used for self descent or for two persons rescue. It is particularly suited to situations where vertical escape is necessary from structures such as mobile elevated work platforms, telecommunications structures, tower, gantry cranes and wind generation equipment.
